LOVE THE WORD. LEARN THE WORD. LIVE THE WORD.January 29th, Point of Grace started a journey together that will transform everyone involved! The key to this transformation isn't another religious formula or a church program, but it's in the giving-hand of our God and Creator. The amazing thing about our God is that he deeply desires to bring about transformation in our lives. In a short book in the New Testament of the Bible called James God promises that if we draw close to Him he will draw close to us (James 4:8). Don't over think this one, simply admit that we need him more than anything or anyone else and he will do what only he can do-- transform us! Imagine, it's not too late! God made you for a purpose and the only way we can know that purpose is to ask him, that's it. Just by asking him he will start the transformation in your life! You might be thinking, "how do I ask, he's God ya know?" Well, how does a child ask for a hug? The kids I know approach me with their arms wide open and I have never failed to just melt in their arms. I'm a sinfully flawed person and yet I naturally do this, how much more does God, being perfect, faithfully receive us with his grace and mercy? Wherever you are at today, don't miss this very important message-- God loves you right were you are, no string s attached! He desires for you to come, as you are, to him and He promises to bring you to the purpose of your life he made for you before the beginning of time. How to Join the Journey:So how do I join this journey to transformation, you may be asking? Well, I'm glad you asked, because it's never too late! Point of Grace has just started a 6-week shared journey of transformation called 40 Days in the WORD. We are anticipating the transformation we are promised when we seek the Lord and invite everyone to come and join it. During the 40 days there will be 4-componets for everyone to participate and be transformed. We recommend each person commit to all four areas to enjoy the full experience. The 4 areas are Sunday morning gatherings, weekly Point Small Groups, personal daily reflections/devotionals, weekly Scripture memorization. For more information look below. It's not too late jump into one of the five 6-week study small groups. Each of the Point Small Groups will be engaging in that week's DVD session and workbook topic that was introduced during the Sunday morning worship and teaching. We are excited to announce a couple of new Point Small Groups that will be launching that week. If you are not in a Point Small Group, these groups would be a great opportunity to jump into. Each day of the 40 days, everyone participating in the journey will have the opportunity to reflect on a Bible passage while encoruaged to pray & brainstorm on how to apply this in their life. There will be the opportunity for daily e-mails from Pastor Rick Warren (the pastor of Saddleback Church who developed this study) and daily text messages to encourage you along the way journey.
