Growth Discovery

What Are They?

Growth Discovery Evening Retreats are 3 hour (6-9pm), Friday evening mini-seminars.  They play into the larger vision of Point's spiritual formation both personally and as a faith community.  Our goal is for all active participants to make it a priority to go through all 6 retreats within the next two years (all six retreats will be offered each calendar year).  We believe that all faith community participants are are called to be equipped in the areas Jesus has called us to. Think of these retreats as training ground for spiritual maturity.

The evening will begin at 6pm at different conference room locations around Holmen/La Crosse area (these areas will soon be announced).  The retreat will kick-off with a dinner and some time to get to know one another.  We will then have two 50 minute sessions (with a break in between) that teaches and engages all who are participating.

What Are The Topics?

101: Discovering the Foundation (basic doctrine, how to study the Bible, what it means to be a witness) - April 13^th

201: Discovering my spiritual SHAPE (Spiritual gifts; Heart; Abilities; Personality; Experience) - May 16^th

301: Discovering Church Membership (history, faith statement, sacraments, time, talent, treasure) - March 16^th

401: Discovering Spiritual Disciples (prayer, Scripture reflection, silence, simplicity, selflessness) - Sept. 21^st

501: Discovering Mission (serve/share in Jesus name. How to share Jesus in a life of evangelism and not just rhetoric) - Oct. 19^th

601: Discovering Spiritual Leadership (small group host/leader, ministry volunteer/team leader, deacon/elder, and household/parental leadership) - Jan.  18^th (2013)

What does it cost?

$10 per person or $15 for a couple.
