Serve the Community
Here are a few needs that our community has right now that you may be able to help out with. If you are interested please e-mail us.
Second Chapter Divorce Recovery
Divorce can be one of life's most difficult experiences to overcome. We, at Second Chapter, know your pain. We have lived it and are now dedicated to helping others who are going through the same emotional trauma that we have experienced. We are committed to helping those newly separated, divorcing people, and those divorced for years heal and increase their self-sufficiency through a self-directed process with the effective support and leadership of trained professional volunteers.
We believe that your experience with us will provide you with educational tools to heal from divorce. Our goal is for you to obtain a renewed sense of well-being as you move forward on your journey toward recovery and rebuilding your life. We are here to walk along side you, and to support and encourage you as our program provides you with the right mix of information and resources for you to successfully move on to a happy, healthy and rewarding future. For more information please e-mail the director of Second Chapter.

Holmen's Hope serves up a delicious free meal on the last Tuesday of each month at the Holmen American Legion. Please contact Bev Rott for more information and to volunteer to serve.
Summer Sack Lunch Project
During the summer months a need arises in the Holmen community to feed children and youth that are normally on free or reduced lunch programs during the school year. This project includes two areas to serve in:
- Tuesday Afternoon/Night Lunch Preparation (at The Holmen American Legion).
- Wednesday lunch distribution at noon.
Please contact Bev Rott for more information and to volunteer to serve.
Laundry Day Project:
On August 28th, Holmen's Hope will be hosting a Free Laundry day at the Holmen Laundromat (582 Amy Dr. Holmen, WI – Across the street from Holmen Square to the south).
NEEDS:
- Dozens of baked good to share with our new friends as we clean clothes (brownies, bars, cookies, rice crispy treats ect…).
- Volunteers to come and share in a new kind of community. Please bring your own laundry to wash.
Back to School Project:
At the beginning of each school year Holmen's Hope distributes the essential school supplies to those that would normally go without, with the help of the local school's staff. This year (Fall 2010) we will be hosting a table both at Viking and Evergreen elementary schools during their open houses on August 30th (5-6:30pm).
NEEDS:
