Serving

At Point of Grace Community Church we like simple. To visually help understand what Point is all about we have chosen to think of our vision as a house with three main spaces. Those spaces are the Front Porch (Where we Connect), Living Room (Where we Grow), and Kitchen (Where we Serve).

The Kitchen is the serving space of a home. Point of Grace desires to create such a space where we put into action what we have learned weekly in the Living Room and on the Front Porch. We believe that by serving others in Jesus' name we are serving Jesus himself. We experience serving as a natural expression of real spiritual growth. Actually, serving enables further growth that deepens our faith as a community as we live this out in a very self-centered world. We genuinely yearn to serve with no agendas or personal benefits, but only to give to others as Jesus gave to the whole world by laying down his life.

Point strives to serve in three basic areas: throughout the church, throughout our greater community, and throughout our world. We have found it's always better to have a kitchen companion than to go solo, because when we serve together we are more likely to serve with the right attitude and spirit. You will find that those who join you in the Kitchen will be an encouragement to you, and you to them, as you serve together.
